We have an excellent team of tutors on board who are either currently studying, or have received offers to study, Medicine at prestigious universities across Hong Kong and the United Kingdom. They are able to assist and advise prospective students on all stages of the application process for Medicine and related fields.
UCAT

The University Clinical Aptitude Test (UCAT) is a 2-hour online multiple choice exam which comprises 5 sections: Verbal Reasoning, Decision Making, Quantitative Reasoning, Abstract Reasoning and Situational Judgement. It is used by most medical universities in the UK to select applicants for interviews.

We provide a standardised course which includes up-to-date notes, tips and strategies based on each of the 5 sections. There will also be some original example questions to equip students for this time-pressed examination. Our course could be tailored upon request on any section to provide specific help that target the student’s weaknesses. Furthermore, we offer strategies for time management, effective utilisation of UCAT resources for revision and practises and personalised advice on university application strategies after student’s UCAT exam.

All our UCAT tutors have achieved an average score of 2880, with the highest score being 3130 (top 1%).

BMAT

The Biomedical Admission Test (BMAT) is a 2-hour long written paper which consists of 3 sections: Aptitude and Skills, Scientific Knowledge and Applications and Written Communication (essay). It is used by various medical universities in the UK, including the University of Cambridge, the University of Oxford and Imperial College London to select applicants for interviews.

For BMAT section 1 and 2 of our course, besides going through the key tips and strategies for each section, we tailor our teaching to tackle targeted topics upon request. Through specially selected practice questions, students will be able to consolidate critical skills. We will also strategically guide them, step by step, through the process of writing an outstanding essay. They will be given essay questions to practice with feedback given in every subsequent lesson. We will also be teaching strategies on timing, giving advice on how to best utilise BMAT resources for revision and practices and making personalised recommendation on university application.

The BMAT Team has achieved an average score of 6.6 among all tutors, with the highest scores being 7.4, 6.3 and 4A for sections 1, 2 and 3 respectively.

PERSONAL STATEMENT

A successful personal statement is an essential prerequisite to securing a medical school interview invite. The first part of our personal statement course involves analysing several exemplary personal statements which will enable students to better understand the key ingredients of an effective personal statement. Following that, tutors will dissect and fine-tune your personal statement and help make key adjustments to add clarity and sophistication to your piece.

INTERVIEW

Mastering the interview is integral to receiving medical school offers. In our course, we will teach you key tips, strategies and answer structures for all commonly tested question types for both the panel interview and multiple mini interviews (MMI). In addition, a set of example questions for each type has been compiled by us, based on our recent interview experiences. Students can attempt the questions during the lesson and will be given immediate and constructive feedback. Our course is tailored to the current admissions standards. Furthermore, interviews of recent years have highlighted that the skill of thinking outside the box is critical to the success of an interview. We have endeavoured to accommodate this aspect by dedicating a specific portion of our course to providing advice on tackling particularly difficult or abstract questions that medical schools tend to design today.

A mock panel interview and mock MMI will be organised later in the year to best equip candidates for their actual interview. This, we believe, offers an excellent opportunity for our students to apply any skills and knowledge learnt in the interview course in a realistic setting.

The interview team has received medicine offers from the following prestigious universities in the UK and Hong Kong:
